There have been many fire incidents in the recent two months in Nepal. In the Nepali months of Baisakh and Jestha (mid-April to mid-June) the country witnessed a total of 385 fire incidents. Nine people lost their lives in these fire incidents while 44 were injured, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority.
Similarly, 254 animals also perished in these fire incidents. It has been estimated that a loss of more than Rs 370 million was incurred due to these fires.
Meanwhile, there were incidents of forest fires in 62 locations within these two months. Three people lost their lives in these forest fires while one person was injured. These forest fires caused a loss of Rs 4.50 lakh, as per the National Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Authority.
