A new mother died of a cold in Jajarkot district on Sunday night. The deceased has been identified as Sharmila Chadara, 25, of Nalgad municipality-8 in Jajarkot district.
She was living with her one-month-old infant under a tarpaulin sheet after her house was damaged by the earthquake, said the chairperson of Nalgad-8, Tej Bahadur Singh. An earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale with its epicenter at Ramidanda of Jajarkot district occurred on November 3 where 154 people lost their lives and 346 were injured. Similarly, 26,557 private houses were completely damaged and 35,455 houses suffered partial damages from the earthquake.
