Newly appointed Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has taken the oath of office and secrecy.
PM Deuba also the Nepali Congress President was sworn in by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari amid a function organised to administer the oath at Sheetal Niwas, the Office of the President.
Deuba was appointed as prime minister on Tuesday following the Supreme Court's order to reinstate the House of Representatives and appoint Deuba as prime minister the day before.
The swearing-in programme was delayed since Deuba had insisted his appointment letter be corrected by mentioning Article 76 (5). Deuba had not agreed to take the oath and waited till the letter was corrected.
