The National Human Rights Commission has expressed its grief over the death of literary centenarian Satya Mohan Joshi at the age of 103 in the morning during treatment.
In the press release issued today by the spokesperson of the commission, Dr. Tikaram Pokharel, it is mentioned that Joshi's death has caused an irreparable loss to the field of Nepali literature and culture, and the country has lost an invaluable creator.
"The commission appreciates his contribution to the development of human rights culture through language, literature and culture", the statement said, "The commission believes that the late Joshi's contribution will be written in golden letters in history and will be highly valued by the government."
The commission has expressed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, wishing for the eternal peace of late Joshi's soul in this sad time.
