A man has died after being hit by a boulder that fell from the area above the road in Karnali corridor. The incident took place in Ghotkanya, Jagannath Rural Municipality-3 in Bajura.
Inspector Dhandev Saud of District Police Office informed that the deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Dil Bahadur Bhandari, a Nepal Army personnel. He added that Bhandari, who is from Rugin, Himali Rural Municipality-4 died on the spot. As per the police, Bhandari was hit on the head by the boulder.
Meanwhile, 16-year-old Lalita Giri of Budinanda Municipality-1, who had been injured after falling from a cliff has been sent to Kathmandu for further treatment via a helicopter. She had been receiving treatment at the primary health post in Kolti for the past four days. Giri could not be transported to Kathmandu immediately after she got injured due to the bad weather.
