One way traffic has resumed along the Narayangarh-Muglin road section which had remained obstructed since Thursday afternoon.
The road was disrupted after a landslide occurred at Ichhakamana-5, Tinkilo on Thursday noon. One way road traffic has come into operation after clearing off the debris.
With the one way traffic coming into resumption at 5.00 pm yesterday itself, the road saw disruption when a landslide continued to take place after a while. The obstruction and reopening of the road was continuing.
In-charge of District Traffic Office Chitwan, Rajkumar Tamang shared boulders blocking the road were already removed, adding one way road operation has resumed now.
According to Division Road Office Chief Ramesh Kumar Poudel, removal of landslide debris from both the sides was initiated at 8.30 am yesterday.
Two excavators and two loaders were mobilized to remove the boulders and open road traffic, he informed.
He urged the vehicle operators to use alternative roads as there was already a long queue of vehicles after resumption of one-way traffic.
The vehicles stranded on the road for over 24 hours are now heading to their destination. Daily as many as 10,000 vehicles pass through the road.
