The Baglung-Ghodabandhe section of the Mid-Hills Highway, which was blocked due to a landslide caused by rain, has been re-opened at 10:30 am on Tuesday. The road has been re-opened after removing the fallen stones, soil and trees using an excavator.
The Mid-Hill Highway had been blocked since last night due to landslides. Deputy Superintendent of Police Indra Bahadur Rana said that the road was operated by operating an excavator in collaboration with the Road Division Office and Baglung Municipality on Tuesday morning. The landslide had fallen in a ditch near the border of Baglung Municipality and Kanthekhola Municipality. There were small landslides in various parts of the section. As soon as the road is re-opened, long and short-distance vehicles are moving towards the destination.
Similarly, the Baglung-Kushmishera road connecting the south of the district has also come into operation. The road that was blocked due to landslides has been cleared with the help of Baglung Municipality. The road was blocked due to a landslide in Dablung of Baglung Municipality-10.
