More than a thousand people have been infected with dengue in the last 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), a total of 25,543 people tested positive for the viral disease while 32 people died due to it till Monday.
The MoHP further informed that the highest number of dengue infections were recorded in Bagmati Province with around 19,910 cases.
Similarly, Lumbini Province recorded 2,887 cases, Far West recorded 804 cases, Province no. 1 recorded 775 cases, Gandaki recorded 556, Madhesh Province recorded 380 while Karnali recorded 231 cases of dengue.
Preparations to declare dengue as an ‘outbreak’ is underway as 76 districts of Nepal has detected the viral disease. The MoHP has requested to practice vigilance as cases increase day by day.
