Minister for Forest and Environment, Pradeep Yadav, has said Parsa Botanical Garden and Zoo going to be constructed at Birgunj Metropolitan City-32 in Birgunj would bring prosperity and development in the district.
Minister Yadav said so while laying the foundation stone for Parsa Botanical Garden and Zoo today, according to Minister Yadav's Secretariat.
He added, "Parsa Botanical Garden and Zoo is going to be constructed in order to bring in domestic and foreign tourists as well as for the prosperity and development of the district."
The Forest Minister expressed the view, "I had dreamed of constructing a zoo at Birgunj thinking it will help increase income-level of Parsa folks and promote tourism of the district. The dream is going to be fulfilled now."
The zoo is going to be constructed at a cost of Rs 1.1 billion, said Deputy General Manager of Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation, Ajay Karki.
