In different places of Pashupatinath area, arrangements have been made in preparation for Mahashivaratri. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale has given instructions and the area is now decorated with colorful flowers and electric lights during Mahashivaratri.
According to Dr. Milan Thapa, Member Secretary of Pashupati Area Development Fund, the main site of Pashupati Nath Temple has been decorated with flowers. It is said that around Rs. 5 million has been spent for that work. Similarly, images of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are also painted on the empty walls of Pashupati area. Mahashivaratri festival is celebrated tomorrow, March 30.
Executive Director of the Fund Ghanshyam Khatiwada said that the bustle in Pashupati area has increased with the approach of Mahashivaratri. He said, "We have made this area colorful and vibrant. Now, the number of visitors from home and abroad has increased and the daily activity has also increased." According to Purnasangam Jethara, a member of Pashupati Area Development Fund, the area has become more attractive and attractive after an attractive picture of God was painted on the blank wall. The fund has stated that free food has been provided for the pilgrims at Hans Mandap, Nirmal Akhada, Bhashmeshwar Akhada, Annapurna Bhandar and other places.
