Phukot Police Post has been reinstated in Kalikot district. The police post displaced due to security reasons during the armed conflict was restored after 25 years.
The police post was initially established during the then Rana regime in 1981BS at Raskot Municipality-9, Phukot (previous Phukot VDC). The police post was displaced in 2054 BS, said Chief of the District Police Office, Jayashwor Rimal.
It was shifted at the nearby Area Police Office, Raskot citing security. It has a quota of 10 police persons, including the Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police, shared Chief Rimal.
The police post was reinstated based on the demand of locals and security sensitivity, said Chief District Officer, Jora Singh Majhi.
