In his address to the 'message assembly' of the Socialist Front Nepal, Bagmati Province here today, he said there was no racial or religious conflict in the course of the People's War and urged everyone not to engage in such activities.

"There never was racial and religious conflict when we waged the People's Movement, and we will never allow such conflict to happen," said the Maoist Centre Chairperson who is also the Prime Minister.

According to him, the Socialist Front was forged to fight for federalism and inclusiveness. He shared on the occasion that the government has come under attack from every side after it started the campaign against corruption and in favour of good-governance and social justice.

"The present government is for improving the condition of the people by maintaining a pro-people system rather than sticking to the traditional parliamentary practice," he added.

The PM asserted that the government is playing a notable role for promoting unity among the parties that want to form a people's republic and to prevent the predominance of the bourgeoisie and reactionary forces. He argued that it is necessary for all pro-people forces to rally behind this issue as the government is working towards the campaign of making a people's republic, preparing the base for socialism.

The Maoist Centre Chairperson argued that the communist parties have come to the point of forging in a single stream by becoming united for the people's welfare and interest. He said the people will suffer if the communists split again by insulting each other.

Former Prime Minister and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Nepal stressed the need for working in favour of the people with determination while accepting the lapses. "We all came together and toppled the monarchy. Our unity is for changing the condition and in favour of socialism and against capitalism," he stressed. He called upon the parties in the Socialist Front to be united for establishing socialism.

CPN Maoist Chairperson Netra Bikram Chand said his party supported the campaign against corruption started by the government. Saying the present government is working in favour of the people, he suggested the government to be stronger and carry out more pro-people works.

Socialist Forum leader Shivalal Thapa Magar alleged that trumped-up charges have been leveled against those waging a movement in the name of supporters of identity. He demanded that those arrested on this charge be released immediately. Magar also expressed his solidarity to the government's anti-corruption campaign.
