PM expresses grief, to mobilize mechanisms for search, rescue, and relief

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed his grief over the huge loss of property in various parts of the country due to the floods that have occurred in the past few days and has said that the entire state apparatus has been mobilized for the search, rescue, and relief of the citizens who went missing due to the floods.

On Monday morning, the Prime Minister met with a team of political parties and people's representatives of Taplejung and Panchthar at Baluwatar and said that the government will mobilize all the mechanisms of the state as the threat of natural disasters still exists.

In the meeting, the political party leaders and people's representatives of Taplejung and Panchthar informed about the huge loss of wealth due to the floods in Taplejung, Panchthar, and Sankhuwasabha, and drew the attention of the government to provide tents, food items, renters and clothes for the time being, and to connect alternative connectivity to the places where the roads and bridges were destroyed.

In the meeting, the Prime Minister said that he is aware of the full details of the damage and that he is taking the initiative to mobilize the entire state apparatus for search, rescue, and relief, and said that he has given instructions to build a belay bridge at war level at the place where the connectivity is broken.

Stating that he has directed the Ministry of Home, Defense, and Physical Affairs to take immediate initiative, the Prime Minister also said that he will immediately send essential materials related to food, housing, and health.
