Shivraj Shrestha, the person accused of rape by Niharika Rajput, has been arrested.
DIG Tek Prasad Rai informed that police arrested Shivraj Shrestha on Tuesday.
Shivraj is accused of raping Niharika when she was a minor and fathering a child with her. In the same case, the police issued an arrest warrant from the Dhanusha District Court and arrested Shivraj.
Niharika has been demanding the DNA of her child and rape accused Shrestha. She has been protesting from Maitighar Mandala to Basantpur.
She also tried to commit suicide by spraying petrol in front of President residence last Friday.
