The country is currently under the effects of westerly low-pressure system, called the westerly winds, due to which light rainfall is predicted today.
The Department of Meteorology has forecasted light rainfall in some places of Far-west, Karnali and Lumbini provinces as well as in a couple of places in remaining four provinces today.
Far west and Gandaki provinces have witnessed generally cloudy weather while the rest of the provinces have partially cloudy conditions. A couple of places in far west province have recorded light rainfall today, the Department said.
The weather will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country today. Light snowfall is forecasted in some high hills and mountainous areas.
Kathmandu Valley recorded a minimum temperature of 6 degrees Celsius and maximum of 16 degrees Celsius today, the Department said.
