Possibility of rain and snow in next 24 hrs

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of cloud cover and light rain and snowfall in most parts of the country due to the effect of westerly winds. The department has issued warning and advice for the next 24 hours and requested to take necessary precautions to avoid cold and snowfall as there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning in some places of Far West, Karnali, Gandaki and Lumbini.

At present, there is partial to normal transfer in Province No. 1 and normal to full transfer in the rest of the provinces. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thundershowers at partial places across the country during the night and light to moderate rain with thunderstorms at one or two places in the rest of the state. There is a possibility of light to moderate snowfall in the high hills and mountains.

On Sunday, there will be normal change in Far-Western and Karnali states and there will be partial to normal change in the rest of the states. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning in one or two places of Far Western Province, Karnali Province and Lumbini Province. There is a possibility of light to moderate snowfall in a few places in the high hills and mountains. According to the latest details of the department, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu is 7.6 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is 18.2 degrees Celsius.
