Dilli Raj Poudel, Ambassador of Nepal to the Brunei Darussalam presented his ‘Letters of Credence’ to His Majesty Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Saadul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam amidst a special ceremony held in the Royal Palace in Brunei Darussalam.
During the audience with His Majesty the Sultan after the presentation of credentials, the Ambassador conveyed the warm greetings from Ramchandra Paudel, President of Nepal to His Majesty and his best wishes for the latter’s good health and happiness of the Sultan as well as for the continued peace, progress, prosperity and well-being of the friendly people of Brunei Darussalam. The Ambassador also stated that the bilateral relations between Nepal and Brunei have remained cordial since the establishment of diplomatic ties on February 3, 1984.
After the presentation of credentials, the Ambassador also paid a courtesy call on Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, the Minister of Internal Affairs at the latter’s office in the afternoon. Matters of mutual interests and bilateral cooperations including labour diplomacy, economic diplomacy and tourism among others were discussed during the meeting.
