President Bidya Devi Bhandari arrived in Jumla at 11:20 via helicopter to inaugurate Jumla's Karnali Institute of Health Sciences (KIHS). KIHS is starting the MBBS program this year.
Bhandari is at District headquarters, Khalanga-based Nepal Army Nandabaksh Battalion that is 700 meters away from the academy. From there, she will walk to the academy, said KIHS Vice-Chancellor Dr Mangal Rawal.
"President Bhandari will inaugurate the first Karnali Institute of Health Sciences in Jumla with MBBS, B Pharma, BNS, BMS courses, and other educational programs," said Dr Rawal. After that, Bhandari will lay a foundation stone for Medical Sciences Educational Building that is going to be constructed at Rs 76 crores.
