The probe committee formed to spell out the truth behind the incident of disappearance of Jaya Singh Dhami — who went missing in the Mahakali River while crossing it via a tuin or wire crossing in Darchula — has concluded that the incident took place in the presence of the Indian Seema Suraksha Bal (SSB).

The report submitted earlier today by the committee to Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand pointed out that the incident took place in the presence of Indian SSB personnel, according to a statement issued by the Home Ministry. The committee has also recommended that the ministry take initiative through diplomatic channels with the Indian side to investigate the incident and take legal actions against the culprits and provide appropriate compensation and relief to Dhami's family.

Similarly, the Government of Nepal has been recommended to make proper arrangements for the upbringing and education of the dependent family members. The Home Ministry had formed an investigation committee under the coordination of Joint Secretary Janardan Gautam to probe the incident that took place on July 30.

Meanwhile, a committee formed to probe into the death of Inspector Kapil Wagle in a road accident at Bardaghat in Nawalparasi has submitted its report to the Home Minister today stating that the accident took place due to negligence of motorcyclists Deepak Pun and of late Wagle.
