Central member of Nepali Congress and candidate for Member of House of Representatives from Nawalpur constituency no. 1, Dr Shashank Koirala has said that the problem of Bhrikuti paper mills and workers will be solved after the election.
Addressing an election rally held in Jandakot, he said the problem concerning the biggest paper factory of the country, the Bhrikuti Paper Mills, will be solved soon after the election.
Leader Koirala shared that a committee had been formed to advise the government on the ailing industry, which suggested that the land of Bhrikuti Paper Mills should be returned to the ownership of the government.
After 31 years of privatization, the government is trying to take back the land where the Mills is situated. "The land will be brought to use after discussion with the locals", he said.
On the occasion, he said a majority is necessary for political stability and if the party secures majority of votes, it will spearhead development with stability.
Mentioning that he has come forward to represent the people of Nawalpur for the fourth time, leader Koirala said the previous terms were spent in the work of constitution making and implementation, and now the focus will be socio-economic transformation.
