Professor Dr. Surya Prasad Subedi was awarded an honorary doctorate by Hull University of the United Kingdom. He has been awarded an honorary PHD, the highest academic title, as he graduated from the university in 1988 with a master's degree in law.
Recently, the university also established an annual award in Subedi's name for the best book written by anyone in the world on the abolition of modern forms of slavery and the right to survive as a human being.
Last year in the Oxford University, Subedi was awarded with a doctorate for his contributions to the field of international law and human rights.
Prof. Subedi who studied at Oxford and Hull University in the UK, taught in seven universities at five different countries of the world.
Dr. Subedi has also worked as a United Nations Human Rights Representative in Cambodia for 6 years and as a Human Rights Advisor to the British Foreign Minister for 5 years.
In addition, he worked as an expert in the World Economic Forum, which is known as the Davos Forum, headquarters in Switzerland.
Moreover Dr Subedi, received an OBE (known in the UK, as an expert on international law) from the British Queen.
