The prohibitory order in Surkhet has been extended till July 30.

The prohibitory order in Surkhet has been extended till July 30. A meeting of the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre (CCMC) held on Thursday decided to further extend the prohibitory order.

The order has been extended because though the infection rate has remained stable for quite some time there is still a danger of the virus spreading, according to the District CCMC.

Meanwhile, the district administration has allowed schools and colleges to conduct examinations of all levels of classes. However, it has urged the concerned authorities to follow all the health safety protocols and not form crowds in the venues.

Shops that were allowed to open from 6 am to 2 pm on all the days except Saturdays will now be allowed to open from 6 am to 6 pm. However, they have to remain closed on Saturdays. Banks and financial institutions and government offices have also been allowed to open.

The administration has said that hotels and restaurants will also be allowed to open but the number of customers must not exceed 50 per cent of the seating capacity of the respective places. Beauty parlours, hair salons, libraries, and gymnasiums have still not been allowed to open.
