President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly appointed Chief of Province No. 2 Harishankar Mishra at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhawan, Sheetal Niwas today.
Earlier, President Bhandari had appointed Mishra of Mahottari as the Chief of the Province on the recommendation of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in accordance with Article 163 (2) of the Constitution.
Prior to this, President Bhandari had dismissed Rajesh Jha, the Chief of Province No. 2, as per the decision of the Government of Nepal, Council of Ministers meeting held on August 16 in accordance with Article 165 (1) (b) of the Constitution.
