Province heads have stressed the implementation of the constitution.
Governor of Gandaki Province Prithviman Gurung has said that the current Constitution has put an end to all forms of discrimination and united the Nepali society with ethnic, linguistic, religious, cultural, and geographical diversity.
Issuing a congratulatory message on the occasion of the seventh Constitution Day today, he said that the Constitution has put an end to all kinds of oppression. Stating that the national sovereignty of Nepal is vested in the Nepali people, the message states that the country is now moving towards building a prosperous nation by assimilating the responsibilities guided by the new Constitution.
Chief Minister of Gandaki Krishnachandra Nepali Pokhrel has said that good governance cannot be maintained without proper implementation of the Constitution.
Expressing good wishes on the occasion of Constitution Day today, he said that political stability could be maintained through the constitutional rule. "For political stability, the government, political parties, civil society, and all the people need to increase their belonging and faith in the Constitution and increase ownership towards it," he said.
Governor of Province No 1 Somnath Adhikari Pyasi has urged one and all to strengthen the unity between multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, multi-religious, multi-cultural, and geographical diversity. Issuing a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Constitution Day today, he has said that the Constitution aims to build an egalitarian society based on the principles of proportional inclusion and participation to ensure economic equality, prosperity, and social justice by ending all forms of discrimination.
The essence and spirit of the Constitution Day will be meaningful only if the nation can develop sustainably by maintaining political stability, lasting peace, good governance, financial discipline, economy, and zero-tolerance against corruption, he has said in the message.
Chief Minister of Sudur Paschim province Trilochan Bhatta has said that the provincial government has moved ahead in the direction of building a prosperous nation by assimilating the responsibilities guided by the Constitution. In a congratulatory message on the occasion of Constitution Day, he said that the provincial government was formulating and implementing all kinds of laws and regulations according to the sentiments of the people.
"Ending all forms of discrimination, the Constitution inspires the Nepali society with ethnic, linguistic, religious, cultural and geographical diversity to join the cause of greater national unity," reads the message.
Governor of Karnali province Govinda Prasad Kalauni that the task now is to move towards economic prosperity including social justice. In a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Seventh Constitution Day 2078 BS here today, he said the phase of the people's struggle for political rights has been completed. Now, the main responsibility of moving the country towards economic prosperity including social justice has fallen on our shoulders.
Mentioning that the Constitution binds the diverse Nepali society on the basis of mutual harmony and tolerance for greater national unity, he has called upon all parties to unite and dedicate themselves to realize the essence of the Constitution into practice.
