‘Naples Psychology: The First Volume’ has been published by including contemporary research in Nepali psychology and contemporary practice in psychology. The book has been published by the Central Department of Psychology, TRI, targeting those interested in research, practice and educational aspects of psychology and related sciences in Nepali context.
In this book, there are 23 articles divided into four sections including contemporary research in Nepali psychology, contemporary practice in Nepali psychology and person and personality in Nepali psychology.
Releasing the book, Prof. Dr. Nandita Sharma, Head of the Department, said that the book is useful to bring out the history, development, progress, contemporary research and practice of psychology.
Stating that this book is a cornerstone in the field of psychology, he said that it is important to expose and explain Nepali psychology by staying in Nepali seropher and keeping our own civilization and culture in mind.
Editor of the book, Dr. Yubaraj Adhikari, said that the past, present and future of Nepal's psychology can be documented and Nepali scholars can take it as a campaign to impart knowledge without relying on foreigners alone.
On the occasion, Sudhakar Pant, Deputy Principal of St. Xavier's College, Prada Vidyadev Sharma, former Head of the Department of Psychiatry, Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, and Sujenman Maharjan, another editor of the book, also mentioned that the book is very useful in documenting Nepali psychology.
