The final list of candidates for the National Assembly member by-election to be held on January 25 in Lumbini province has been published. The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer Ghorahi Dang published the final list of three candidates on Monday.
The separate nominations of CPN (UML) and Civil Immunity were registered on the 11th of January. Similarly, the opposition party Nepali Congress also registered its candidacy.
Kumar Dasauti of Rolpa Runtigadhi-5 from UML registered his nomination.
Yamnarayan Pokhrel, chairman of Garhwa Rural Municipality, elected from CPN (Maoist Center), and Meenakumari Shrestha, member of the State Assembly of Rashtriya Prajatantra Party, as supporters of Dasoudi. Rajendraveer Rai, who is living in Nepalganj, Banke, has become a candidate after seeking a permanent home from civil emancipation. Rajkumar Chaudhary, MP of Unmukta, was the proposer of the opinion and Dharma Bahadur Chaudhary, a member of the state assembly, was the supporter.
Madhav Prasad Acharya of Rolpa has registered his nomination from Congress. Among his supporters is Jograj Chowdhury, head of Lamhi municipality, and Bhakta Bahadur Gisi, vice president of Banglachuli rural municipality, as the proponent.
After the resignation of Khimlal Bhattarai elected from UML, a by-election will be held for the vacant post. Gehendra Kunwar, the spokesperson of the Election Office, informed that the election symbol was given along with the publication of the final list of candidates on Monday.

There are 350 voters in Lumbini for the National Assembly elections, consisting of heads, deputy heads, and provincial assembly members. There will be 218 heads and deputy heads at the local level and 87 state assembly members. In the National Assembly election, the local level head, deputy head, president, and vice president have 18 votes and the provincial assembly member has 48 votes.
