The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has stated that the purpose of his visit is to deepen the relations with Nepal. In a departure statement from New Delhi on the eve of his visit to Lumbini, he said India's relations with Nepal were incomparable.
"The purpose of my visit is to celebrate and deepen the deep and documented relationship that has existed for centuries," he said in a statement.
Stating that he was looking forward to meeting Prime Minister Deuba again after fruitful discussions during his visit to India last month, Prime Minister Modi said in a statement that common understanding would be continued to enhance cooperation in various fields including hydropower, development and connectivity. He is coming here tomorrow on a special flight at the invitation of Prime Minister Deuba.
