As the number of corona infections in Doti has been increasing in the last few weeks, the police administration has started cracking down on the locals in the market. Police have been deployed in the district to maintain social distance from quarantine for citizens returning from India for employment. Battalion No. 36 of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force has been mobilized here for the prevention and control of Corona on the orders of the district administration. The police team has banned people from walking, walking, gathering, and holding meetings in various checkpoints and market areas.
Police in the district have started your 'Mask Khoi' campaign and have distributed masks and requested you to wear masks. Chief District Officer Shankar Bahadur Bista said that the police team went to the market and the village under the direction of the district administration as the coronavirus was spreading from the market to the villages. Bista himself has been participating in the campaign.
Similarly, the police have started distributing masks and sanitizers to the drivers, co-drivers and passengers of the vehicles operating here. As part of the campaign, the police have kept those who do not wear masks and resist for two hours at the holding center at Dipayal Pipallachowk.
The number of active infected people in the district has reached 200. According to the health workers, the people who went to India for employment have started returning to their homes as the risk of corona has increased. Harilal Dhami of Shikhar Municipality-10 said that the locals are worried as the number of people infected in the district is higher than in the urban areas. He said, "No one seems to have adopted a security strategy to avoid corona in the village. The locals are scared saying that the situation will be dire if corona spreads in the village."
