Loktantrik Samajwadi Party (LSP) senior leader, Rajendra Mahato said all sides should pay attention for preserving art, culture and identity as the heritage of the country.
In course of observing photo exhibition 'Our Heritage: Our Culture' hosted by the RSS on the occasion of Republic Day here today, he stressed for the State to protect and preserve various languages, cultures and customs of hill, mountain and Terai as the identity markers.
Mahato, also the former Deputy Minister, said, 'The festivals, art and culture covered in the photo exhibition are the assets of the country. This is a reflection of Nepal. We should protect the heritage', he commented after observing the exhibition.
As the RSS-disseminated news are widely circulated, its efforts to manufacture and circulated news in different national languages will be appreciated, Mahato said, asking the government to pay special attention to this effect.
Responding to a query, he said, 'The government should seriously address the issues of rights and identity which is a pressing demand in the country now. On this RSS could play a crucial role through the dissemination of news'.
Saying that the people have not realized change, he recommended RSS to cautiously raise the issue that the State has not worked as per the people's expectations.
