The Saljhandi-Dhorpatan road section in Baglung district has been disrupted from the landslides following the torrential rain in the area since Thursday afternoon. A heavy landslide occurred at Dogadi area of Dhorpatan Municipality-5 in the district disrupted the vehicular movement there, Deputy Mayor of Dhorpatan Municipality Dhan Bahadur Kayat said.
The landslide occurred on Thursday afternoon is not cleared yet despite the attempts to clear it from early morning today.
"A heavy landslide occurred near Dogadi bridge has completely obstructed the road. We could not resume the vehicular movement on Thursday as the landslide is too big. We are working to clear it today. The landslide has caused heavy damages to the road," he said.
A large number of passengers including tourists to and from Dhorpatan area are stranded halfway after the vehicular disruption.
Likewise, vehicles on their route to Burtibang, Pokhara, Kathmandu, Butwal and other destinations have suffered badly from the landslide.
