The Supreme Court (SC) on Monday ruled out giving an interim order in the writ petition filed by CPN (UML) Madhav Kumar Nepal, Bhim Rawal, Ghanshyam Bhusal, and Surendra Pandey.
The four leaders had lodged the petition arguing that CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli took action against them by breaching the party statute.
A single bench of Justice Prakash Kumar Dhungana stated that such an issue is not deemed to interim order and it could be reached to a conclusion after holding consultation between the two sides.
The four leaders had lodged the petition on April 22 by naming Election Commission of Nepal, CPN (UML) Chairman Oli, General Secretary Ishwar Pokhrel, Speaker of House of Representatives (HoR) Agni Prasad Sapkota, and some others as defendants.
The SC has also asked to furnish a written response within 15 days through the Office of Attorney General.
