Nepali students studying abroad have helped Dhulawari Secondary School in Mechinagar for scholarships. Nepali students studying in the US and Europe have provided assistance through Kinjal Foundation Nepal to provide scholarships to 39 students from deprived communities studying from classes 1 to 12.
The students have contributed Rs. 316,000 through the foundation, said Principal Mahendra Vilash Luintel. The agreement has been signed by Ashish Lamichhane, coordinator of the foundation, and Luintel, principal. Coordinator Lamichhane said that assistance has been provided to the students from deprived communities who are forced to drop out of school due to a lack of funds.
As per the agreement, students from classes 1 to 5 will get Rs 5,800 annually, students from classes 6 to 8 will get Rs 8,450, and students from classes 9 to 12 will get Rs 11,600.
