The Sindure Jatra (Bhairavi Varsha Bandhan) procession of Nuwakot, which has been affected for two consecutive years due to the risk of corona infection, has been started this year. Mahendra Kumar Shahi informed that the procession, which is celebrated as the biggest festival in Nuwakot, has a special splendor and ritual. According to him, the ritual of Sindure Jatra 2078, which is celebrated as a religious and cultural tradition of worshiping the priest and devotee of Bhairavi Devi temple Hariman Singh Dangol and his life partner Dhamini and secretly predicting what will happen in the country in the coming year, has started from today.

On the day of Phagu Purnima, twelve brothers took water from the temple of Bhairavi Devi and started purifying it. According to Dware Shahi, Dhami Hariman Singh Dangol of Nuwakot has reached this year's Jatra Jalpadevi Temple Devighat on April 22 (today) for an invitation. He returns to Bhairavi Devi temple today.

After raising the lingo in the place of the old deity on April 20, the lingo of the Bhairavi Devi temple premises has been raised on the same day and night. Guthiyar, a resident of Lachyang in Suryagadhi Gaonpalika-1, is scheduled to take a procession to Didi Jalpadevi temple in Devighat on April 15 and reach Devighat with Dhami and Dhamini.

On the night of the full moon day of Chaitshukla, Dhami is believed to have ascended to the deity after sacrificing calves, goats, ducks, chickens, and even fish at the Jalpadevi temple. Bhairavi's chariot and Dhami returned to Devighat on April 19 after returning from Jalpadevi temple to Dharmapani and sitting on bamboo.

Celebrated as a unity between the Bhairavi Devi temple in Nuwakot Mandala and the Jalpadevi temple in Devighat, the special highlight of the procession will be from 1st April to 5th April this year. According to Shahi, Dhami Dangol of Nuwakot is the eldest (83 years old) out of the twelve in different parts of the country.
