Bardiya police on Thursday evening arrested a man on the charge of raping his 11-year-old stepdaughter from Barbardiya Municipality.
The name of the 32-year-old accused has not been disclosed.
The accused allegedly raped his daughter on Wednesday afternoon. Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Baniyabhar-based Area Police Office arrested the accused.
Further investigation into the matter is underway, informed the police.
