The members of the House of Representatives have demanded the government to take strict action against all those involved in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees.
Chief opposition CPN (UML) MP Thakur Prasad Gayre mentioned that the MPs involved in the case were speaking in the House and questioned the government as to why they were not arrested.
While speaking at the zero hour of the House of Representatives meeting on Tuesday, he alerted the government to investigate and take action against those who have been issued arrest warrants and who are suspected in the case.
Nepali Congress Member of Parliament Tejulal Chandhri mentioned that there is a movement to save the gangs involved in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees and demanded the government to take strict action against them as well. He also pressured the government to investigate the case impartially and bring all the culprits to justice.
National Independent Party MP Dr. Tosima Karki accused the country's big bodies and politicians of being involved in the case. She demanded that all the MPs' property should be published immediately on the Parliament Secretariat's website and the Speaker should also be instructed to find the source of their property.
