A student was killed when a truck (Na 3 Kha 7990) heading from east to west hit him at Bastipur Chowk on the East-West Highway in Lalbandi Municipality-9 this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Dipendra Kumar Yadav, 16, of Chandranagar municipality-1, who was studying in class 9 at Janajyoti Secondary School, Lalbandi-9. According to Nirmal Thapa, Chief Inspector of Police at the Area Police Office, Lalbandi, the student was hit by a truck while walking to his tuition. Police have taken control of the truck and its driver.
