Tadi Rural Municipality and Gaidakot Municipality set up isolation facilities

The local units in Nuwakot and Nawalpur district have set up isolation facilities to treat the suspected and infected ones from COVID-19 as the number of COVID-19 cases went up in these places.

Chair of Tadi Rural Municipality in Nuwakot, Narayan Prasad Pandey, shared that a 20-bed isolation facility was set up at Kharanitar Hospital for immediate use. The isolation facility is aimed at preventing, controlling COVID-19 pandemic in their locality, and treating the infected ones.

There are 21 COVID-19 patients in the rural municipality as of Wednesday, informed Pandey. The Tadi Rural Municipality has shut down all its services except for the essential ones after one of the staffers tested positive for COVID-19.

The rural municipality office and its wards offices will be shut down until the next notice. There are two groups of staffers stationed in the rural municipality and its ward offices to dispatch the essential services to the service-seekers.

Meanwhile, the Gaidakot Municipality in Nawalpur district has set up an isolation facility to treat the suspected and infected ones in its locality. According to Municipality Mayor Chatraraj Poudel, a quarantine was turned into a 3-room isolation facility.

According to him, each room could accommodate as many as 16 COVID-19 patients. A COVID-19 patient in ward no 11 of the Municipality died on Wednesday morning.
