The temperature has fallen across the country including the Kathmandu Valley. Today, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley has been measured at 5.4 degrees. The minimum temperature in the valley was 6.5 degrees on Friday.
According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, the minimum temperature has dropped and it is getting colder all over the country. The department has issued warnings and counseling for the next 24 hours and requested to take necessary security and vigilance to avoid the cold snap across the country.
Light snowfall is expected in some parts of the far western states, Karnali and Gandaki due to the western low-pressure system (basin) that will come with the westerly winds in the middle of next year.
According to the latest details of the Weather Forecast Division, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley today is 5.4 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is 20.7 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in Jumla is minus 4.7 degrees Celsius and the maximum in Bhairawa is 30.4 degrees Celsius.
