Three people have been arrested for trading cryptocurrency, a virtual currency banned in Nepal.
The arrestees have been identified as Rajan Bhattarai, 21, of Parbat, Vishal Shrestha, 25, of Sunsari and Dipen Raj Shrestha, 27, of Kathmandu.
A team from the Metropolitan Crime Investigation Branch, Baneshwor, arrested them.
According to an investigation officer of the division, Bhattarai has been found to have done business with 975 people 1,926 times so far and the turnover has been 1.6 million in a month.
All the arrested have been sent to the Metropolitan Police office, Teku for necessary action as per the Banking and Financial Institutions Act, 2073 BS, police said.
