Police arrested a Tibetan national who had been absconding after he was convicted on a drug-related marijuana case from Hemja in Pokhara Metropolitan-25 in Kaski district on Thursday afternoon.
The accused has been identified as Tibetan national Jigme Lundup (30), a resident of Tibet in China.
Kaski District Court had convicted him on a drug-related marijuana case and sentenced him to six months of imprisonment. He served 2 months and 11 days imprisonment but he was absconding. He still needs to serve another 3 months and 19 days of imprisonment.
Kaski-based District Police Office (DPO) personnel nabbed Lundup from Hemja.
Further investigation into the case is underway, informed Subash Hamal, DSP of DPO, Kaski.
