Nepal Police have arrested two persons for looting a person in Lanchaur of Kathmandu.
Police have arrested Pemba Tamang, 25, of Budhanilkantha in Nuwakot and Shalikram Nepali, 34, of Maligaun in Kathmandu for looting Rs. 3.5 million.
Spokesperson of the District Police Complex, Kathmandu, Superintendent of Police Dinesh Raj Mainali said that the victim was arrested for being involved in looting by luring the victim to the house for lunch. Police have recovered a mobile phone, a watch and an iron rod from the suspects.
Spokesperson Mainali said that the arrested Tamang is being investigated for robbery and theft related offenses as per Article 241 of paragraph 20 of the Civil Offenses (Code) Act. As the identity of the other fugitive involved in the looting incident has been revealed, efforts are being made to arrest them as soon as possible, police said.
