UK's ambassador to Nepal, Nicola Pollitt, today paid a farewell call on Minister for Health and Population, Mohan Bahadur Basnet.
During the meeting held at latter's office, the two exchanged views on cooperation and collaborations between the two countries in the health sector. The Minister presented possible ways for ensuring the continuity of the UK's assistance to Nepal's health industry.
The two also discussed about the matter of sending nursing force from Nepal to the UK.
"The ambassador is leaving for home soon upon the completion of her term. In today's meeting, we discussed three issues with a major highlight. Such issues are safe and systematic migration of Nepal's nursing force in the UK, better medical provisions for the Gurkha British armies and the implementation of UK-assisted new programmes in the health sector," the Minister said. ----
