UN Resident Coordinator in Nepal, Sara Beysolow Nyanti, paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Thursday afternoon.
Issues as Nepal-UN relations and cooperation were discussed during the courtesy call, said the Foreign Ministry, adding that PM Deuba expressed gratitude to the UN for its commitment to assist Nepal on fight against COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the UN Office informed that the issues as recommended on universal periodic review (UPR) on human rights, consolidation of UN, cooperation between Nepal and UN are on Nepal's goal of getting graduated from the status of least developed country.
Similarly, Acting Ambassador of Federal Republic of Germany to Nepal, Stephan Ruskel, also paid a courtesy call to PM Deuba. Nepal-German relations, bilateral trade, investment and promotion of cultural relations was discussed during the meeting.
PM Deuba thanked Germany for its assistance to Nepal in the fight against COVID-19, the Foreign Ministry stated.
