US Army Asia-Pacific Chief Charles A. Flynn has paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
He reached the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar today and paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Deuba, said Govinda Pariyar, Press Chief of the Prime Minister. During the meeting, they discussed various issues of mutual interest. Chief Flynn arrived in Nepal on Thursday for a four-day official goodwill visit.
Flynn is scheduled to visit the Army Headquarters and meet with Chief of Army Staff Prabhuram Sharma. During his stay in Nepal, he praised Nepal's role in the UN peacekeeping force, visiting the Virendra Peacekeeping Training Center and discussing various aspects of US assistance in the areas of disaster preparedness, response and humanitarian assistance.
