Now onwards, anyone could reach out to the Minister for Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma from anywhere within the country to hold virtual dialogue with her.

According to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the new provision is put in place to make Ministry's performance further effective as well as to facilitate public to directly furnish their complaints and recommendations.

A new platform named 'Virtual dialogue' has been added up in the Ministry's website https://mocit.gov.np/. One can also directly go to https://mocit.gov.np/write-to-minister and register their complaints or suggestions.

Spokesperson at the Ministry, Netra Subedi, said that the launch of new provision is expected to reduce the influx and the pressure of the people who, according to him, visit the Ministry in person to lodge 'petty' yet urgent complaints.

He further said that the online platform was brought into operation to ease off the service-seekers to lodge their complaints or furnish their suggestions from any part of the country.

The Communication Secretariat of the Minister would also address the queries put by the service-seekers coordinating with the concerned sides. "Since the Minister is the Spokesperson of the government, it is possible for the service-seekers to furnish policy suggestions related to the entire government," he said.
