The election to the House of Representatives (HoR) and Provincial Assembly held on Sunday has witnessed fewer turnouts as compared to the last election of HoR and Provincial Assembly held five years back.
The Election Commission's preliminary observation put the voter turnout at 61 percent this time which is less than seven percent than that of the 2074BS general election. The 2074BS election to HoR and Provincial Assembly had seen 68.67 percent voting.
Similarly, the local-level election held six months back also had a better voting turnout. It had recorded a 66.87 percent turnout.
