The construction of Gautam Budha International Cricket Stadium, which has been stopped in Bharatpur Metropolitan City, is about to proceed. Bharatpur Metropolitan Corporation is going to proceed with the work by taking the initiative with the federal government and deciding the amount to be paid by the Council of Ministers.

Bharatpur Municipal Corporation Chief Renu Dahal said that a decision will be taken by the Council of Ministers soon.

Since Dhurmus Suntali Foundation left the work due to lack of funds during the construction of the stadium, the stadium has been lying idle for almost two years. The foundation has said that Rs 184.1 million has yet to be paid to various individuals and organisations.

The work has been stopped due to a problem regarding the payment of the payment amount. According to Dahal, the work of the stadium is going to be done through a new process by disbursing funds from the government to those who need to be paid.

Due to the pending payment, the work has been delayed." The Ministry of Sports, under the coordination of the then joint secretary of the Ministry of Urban Development, Prakirna Tuladhar, formed a committee consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Sports and Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality and conducted a study.
