The Yogmaya Ayurveda University Bill-2079 BS has been endorsed in today's House of Representatives meeting.
Minister for Education, Science and Technology Devendra Paudel presented the proposal seeking clause-wise deliberation on the Bill in the parliamentary Education and Health Committee which was unanimously endorsed.
Minister Paudel, clarifying on the issues raised in the discussion, said that the University would be established in the name of Yogmaya, pioneer crusader of the Nepali Women's Liberation Movement in Arun Valley.
According to him, the University aims to produce skilled human resources in Ayurveda, Yoga medicine and research on herbal plants. He added that the University will enroll foreign students as well to research on Ayurvedic discipline.
The Bill comes into effect from 31 days of authentication. The next meeting of HoR is slated on coming Friday on July 29 at 11:00 am.
