Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has nominated Kalyan Gurung, Pradip Poudel and Jeevan Bahadur Shahi as central members.
All three were defeated in the 14th General Convention. Gurung nominated as the candidate for the post of chairman, Poudel for the post of general secretary and Shahi for the post of joint general secretary.
Chairman Deuba had earlier nominated 10 people as central members. On Saturday, Ram Chandra Poudel, Vimalendra Nidhi, Vijay Kumar Gachchhadar, Prakashman Singh, Krishna Prasad Sitaula, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, Dr Narayan Khadka, Sujata Koirala, Uma Regmi and Min Bahadur Bishwakarma were nominated as central members.
There is a provision in the Congress constitution that the president will nominate 33 central members. 134 people were elected from the 14th General Convention.
