CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said the electoral alliance is a success in local-level elections.
He shared, "We have embarked on a new journey for political change and stability in the country by forging an alliance," adding the alliance emerged successful to realize the shared objective.
CPN (Maoist Chair) said a strong determination has been set for taking ahead of the alliance in upcoming provincial and federal elections as well as in the journey of the country's development and prosperity.
Congratulating the winners of the five-party alliance in Madhyapur Thimi municipality at his residence in Khumaltar today, he assured of giving continuity to the alliance and taking it ahead in a more effective manner. He mentioned that it was the time to transform the victory into development, prosperity and people's welfare. Chair Dahal also wished the newly elected people's representatives their successful tenure.
Saying that Madhyapurthimi was a historical municipality of Bhaktapur, he asserted that the pro-public decisions and actions have a direct bearing on the lives of the residents of the municipality. He also noted that the good performance of the elected people's representatives in Madhyapurthimi would also pose challenges to the political monopoly in Bhaktapur.
"The development work such as health, education, employment, sanitation and information flow has a direct bearing on the well-being of the people of Bhaktapur, the entire valley and the country", he noted.
It may be noted that Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Surendra Shrestha on behalf of the electoral alliance had won mayoral post of Bhaktapur with 15,098 votes.
